I've been collecting HO scale slot cars since 1964. I currently have 4 tracks set up in the basement. I use 1:87 scale for calculating scale distances. On all the courses which have curves I have calculated the distances based on center line distance. That is I have used 7.5 inch radius for a 9" radius section of track.
