Trucks There are many possibilities with trucks.
This one was made from a Road Race Replica front end and a casting of a Matchbox trash truck.
This one was made from a Road Race Replica front end and a casting of a Matchbox Street Sweeper.
This one was made from a Road Race Replica front end and half of a trailer. The trailer floor was made with diamond plate, the rear door with an old garage door from a Pikestuff kit and I-beams for the rear bumper.
This one started life as a GMC Tractor, but had the other half of the trailer mounted in the same fashion as the one above. This has an AFX chassis.
Again, another GMC Tractor but this one was made into a "Roll Back" by adding diamond plate and I-Beams. The bed was covered in chrome foil.
Convertibles Need some Fun in the Sun
This was an original Aurora White 67 Camaro that had a hole drilled in the roof. The roof came off and a windshield, boot and an interior from a JL Mustang completes the conversion.
When the 55's first came out, I got one almost the first day. The roof was off by sundown. Again, this was made with a JL Mustang Interior and boot.
I wanted to see if I current production cars could be converted so since MM was making tons of these, I tried one. Same principle as the first 67 Camaro conversion.
Another 55 Chevy Convertible, this one made for HO World. The people were added by Slot Car Bob.

The 67 Chevy Malibu by MM took a little more work as I wanted to keep the original windshield frame. I liked the color combination of green and beige that I had made for HO World (a 55 Chevy) so I made my Malibu the same color.
The 67 Corvette by MM was actually fun to make. I trimmed down a JL Mustang interior to not only fit, but had to use part of the hood so the seats were in the proper place.
Since MM cars were so easy, I decided to try my hand at better looking cars. This 58 Chevy Impala had the roof cut off and the interior affixed with resin to fill all of the small holes. The boot was missing when the photo was taken, but it has a bright yellow boot that I had cast myself. The Chrome was added with carefully applied Chrome Foil.
I started this one on the 4th of July, 2001 so the color combination was an easy choice. The 61 Fairlane makes a nice conversion, and MEV adds the rust protector on the quarter panel just like they had to do in 61. I accented the panel with chrome plate.
Hot Rods Not your ordinary street machines
This 56 Ford Pickup from Road Race Replicas just needed "More Power", so that's what it got, along with the chrome plating of the tonneau cover.

The same treatment to a Red Truck. The engines come from Hot Wheels and Matchbox die-cast vehicles.
Another photo of the same red 56 Ford Pickup.
In my area, this is what most of the 55 Chevy's look like now. Color is a bit strange and they all have huge engines sticking out of the front. I have to admit, even with the lime green color, this starts looking pretty good the longer you look at it.
Hot Rods Woodies Mr. Ford gave us what we wanted - then we changed our minds.
I saw an article in HO World and decided to try my hand at it. I used a much bigger engine than the 32 Ford truck one used in the article, surf boards were from a JL Die-Cast and I just couldn't stop until it had the life preserver on the back. This is on a specialty AFX Chassis.
Woodies make good looking hot rods too. The fenders were removed, and this one was mounted. to a slim line chassis (not for the width, but for the length.

Chopped, Lowered and Customized
A 59 Chevy from MEV, just needed a bit more grip. This handles real well with the AJ's on all four corners.
Home built
I build a few things completely from scratch also. This trailer is a bit wide for normal plastic track, but it's a great way to haul your "Show Car" to and from the track.
I made a mold of a Die-Cast Vicky and had to re-align the front fenders and add the 32 Ford motor and grille.
